ACBR | Diversity Mentorship Program - The Power of Mentorship Alumni Event

About Event

We often say, “It takes a village.” And nowhere is that more true than in commercial real estate. No one builds a career alone.

Our village might begin with a first boss who took a chance on us. It might be a colleague who made an introduction, a friend who encouraged us to take the next step, or a leader who saw something in us before we saw it in ourselves. But the luckiest among us have something even more powerful: a mentor.

A mentor can change the trajectory of a career. They can share the lessons that only experience can teach, help us navigate the moments when the path isn’t clear, and—perhaps most importantly—believe in us when we need someone else to believe first.

For years, ACBR has been honored to be part of the mentor/mentee relationships that have helped shape the careers and lives of professionals across our industry. And this year, we have the opportunity to celebrate not only where those relationships began, but where they have led.

On November 12, the ACBR Diversity Mentorship Program will host The Power of Mentorship, an alumni panel at Southern Lighting Source. Three mentor/mentee pairs will come together to share their experiences and talk about the ways mentorship has helped shape the professionals they are today.

We’ll gather over a light breakfast and mimosas to celebrate. And to our past mentees: reach out to your mentor and invite them to join you.

Because mentorship is not simply about where you started. It’s about who helped you get there—and who you become because they did.
